Abu Tariq Zubair حفظه الله explains the roots of Bidah with the athar of the famous Tabiee Abdullah ibnul Mubarak رحمه الله تعالى [d. 180H] in which he states: "The roots of 72 [deviant sects] of desires are four. Then from these four these 72 [deviant sects] of desires branched out: the Qadariyyah, the Murji'ah, the Shi'ah, and the Khawaarij." A must listen for all so as to be aware from these sects which are now seen with different names.
